The Spurs have five representatives competing during NBA All-Star weekend. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. Friday with the All-Star Celebrity Game before Spurs players take the floor.
The Spurs missed out on a potential sixth representative as two-way player David Jones Garcia made Team Austin, which is made up of G-League players, in the Rising Stars but is missing the event with an injury. Carter Bryant, who is competing in the Slam Dunk Contest, was added as an injury replacement in the Rising Stars earlier Friday, giving the Spurs three players in the event — Bryant, fellow rookie Dylan Harper and Stephon Castle.
Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox will be the Spurs’ lone player representatives in the main event, Sunday’s All-Star tournament. Wembanyama will play for Team World, while Fox is on Team USA Stripes, which is coached by Spurs coach Mitch Johnson.
