LAS VEGAS - No. 2 overall pick Dylan Harper will make his Summer League debut against the Dallas Mavericks and No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg on Saturday afternoon.
Harper will be on a team-decided minutes restriction, a team staffer said.
Harper missed the Spurs’ three games at the California Classic and the 111-70 win over Philadelphia on Thurday in the team’s Las Vegas Summer League debut with a minor groin issue diagnosed before the team left San Antonio for California on July 4.
The 19-year-old guard from Rutgers has been eager to play, but the Spurs have erred on the side of caution in keeping him out of the Summer games even as he participated in practice and shootaround.
Saturday’s game will be televised nationally by ESPN.
