AUSTIN – Spurs All-Star center Victor Wembanyama has landed on the team’s injury report for Thursday’s game against Phoenix with an an illness.
Wembanyama is doubtful to play in the first of the Spurs’ two consecutive games in Austin, the team says.
The Spurs are expected to update Wembanyama’s condition prior to tipoff Thursday, the Spurs’ first game since before the All-Star break. Wembanyama last played in Sunday’s All-Star game mini-tournament in San Francisco on Sunday.
The team faces a second game at Austin’s Moody Center on Friday against Detroit.
