I don’t know if I am crazy but I honestly think our team is not as good defensively as the stats implied last season. All the stats looks great when Wemby is on the court because he is literally the best defender in the world and a big man.
Any team that can shoot a moving 3 dismantles us with ease. It’s not a coincidence we went 1-3 almost 0-4 against the warriors last season and Curry dropped like 50 pts on us (the best moving 3pt shooter in the league).
The second Wemby is off the court that’s still a problem, but they get to also get offensive rebounds and a bunch of second chance points.
So I don’t think it’s exclusively a Kornet problem. I think the spurs make every big man look like they are a massive weakpoint but Kornet can’t do it all himself like Wemby can

Hot steaming dogshit is ridiculous. We would be an eight seed. With him we’re a championship contender.
Our team’s fans were in the wilderness for just a little bit and haven’t had a real superstar impact guy in a while and now we catastrophize everything. We’re a good team. Wemby is a superstar with the largest defensive impact on a game since like…. Ever.
