我感觉福克斯真的很想念他在国王队时期的大个子掩护者萨博尼斯先生。我觉得小塔里斯·里德会成为福克斯的绝佳搭档，希望米奇能试试这个组合。里德那手五英尺内的小抛投也很不错。

I feel like fox really misses his big screener Mr Sabonis from his Kings days. I think Reed would be a huge enabler for Fox and would like to see Mitch try that pairing. Reeds 5 footer shot is great too.

I like the rooks so far. Reed is so strong at the boards. Maliq brown’s shooting stroke doesn’t look too bad. He didn’t get to showcase his ball deflection ability this game though. Gillespie is intriguing. He might become the best pure shooter on this team and could develop into a patty mills type of player. The spurs might redshirt Quaintance this season but I’m hoping he actually plays by ASB

My biggest pet peeve with this team and it also stems with the starters - is that when one players gets hot, we can never continue to feed them the ball.
It’s happened with Wemby a few times, but those last minutes when Tarris scored 6 straight, then was iced out of touching the ball for the rest of the game infuriates me.

One of the problems with trying to play a completely egalitarian style of basketball. Your best players need to get the ball more than others and need to shoot the ball more than others. There is such a thing as being too unselfish. I hope the guys can find the right balance.

would of been nice to get the win but reed jr is going to be a stud for the spurs. his rebounding and screen setting is fantastic and is what the spurs needed desperately. Malik brown has the potential for being developed into a 3 and wing .

Wemby game not looking much different. Up to Mitch to get him this team in the best sets.

Agreed, but to be fair, Wemby was already on 30 points per 36 minutes last season. But played 29 minutes.
Just an improvement in conditioning and efficiency/decisions would already be great. The rest is details added through actual game repetition.
Spurs try and test a lot of stuff in the first part of the season, historically. They peak in March and April, to prepare for the postseason, which is what matters.

I think people are under reacting to Gillespie. Dude looks really good all around. He looks like a lottery pick to me and if I was another team I’d be trying to trade assets to steal him in a trade before other teams or even the Spurs realize his value.

The problem is his height. If he was 6’5 he’d have been a lotto pick. It’s just really rough for 6’1 guards in today’s league.
I agree that he’s really impressed me tho. I think he can make it. His passing is what really surprised me.
