This is now multiple games this series where, before the ball is even tipped, Wemby is severely fatigued. He can’t get to the paint, his jump shot falls off a cliff, he can’t rebound, and his defense is compromised because he has no energy. I don’t know how that problem gets solved in this playoffs run.

Hate to say it but that’s part of the inexperience of this team. They don’t know what it’s like to manage fatigue in a deep playoff run. They’ve played an extra 16 games now which is just under an extra 20% of a season.
No matter how this ends, they will be better for it in seasons to come

Yeah same here. There’s usually an extra day of rest either after game 2 or game 4. This is just non-stop right now

I too don’t remember that in the past, but I feel it’s been like that the last 2-3 seasons. 1st round there are a couple stretches with at least 2 days rest, then maybe 1 in the 2nd round and then every other day in the conference finals like they’re trying to rush through them.

He played only 33 minutes in a blow win in game 4. It’s not like game 4 was a down-to-the-wire slugfest, the Spurs won going away. Fatigue is not a credible excuse.

Man you guys have no heart. Who else on the team is giving as much as Wemby, having to carry both ends. And you know they shortened the rest with Kornet because they’ve been falling behind so hard when he sits. I see SGA sitting for long periods of time, Wemby gets hardly any breaks. He’s our superstar yes, but he can’t do it all by himself. There will be some games that he’s not . All this doom and gloom for his career when he’s in his first playoffs is ridiculous.

Yeah, Wemby’s stamina might (I don’t know for sure) be a problem his whole career. If that’s the plan, we need to plan for that when it comes to building the roster.

Could also be that the coaching staff needs to figure out how to not overuse him along with actually getting him conditioned for heavy playoff minutes. Playing 25-28 mins most nights in the regular season is not going to be able to have you conditioned to go 38-42 mins playing at a high level every other day that is needed in series like this.

We should, poor play alone amd we could maybe close that distance. We didnt lose BECAUSE of the refs but they did us no favors and that matters in such a close series
The amount of momentum we lost this game is crazy. We cant fight through our own bs AND the refs

Naw. Refs killed the momentum a couple of times, Mitch trying to call for review when the ball clearly went off Chet’s foot and they went on a run killed us. But if we are a team that can win a Conference Championship you can’t let calls let that stop your mojo.
And we just couldn’t get our mojo together as a team this whole game. They just beat us flat out. Wemby just didn’t show up. They might have had a slight ref advantage, but we just flat-out lost this game ourselves.
On to Game 6, and then likely (hopefully) the Game 7 every basketball fan has wanted all year.

Exactly. As poor as we played, it should have been a 3 point game going into the 4th if not for some of the most baffling calls I’ve ever seen

Every time I mad and hot during the game obviously in the heat of the moment but as soon as the game is done I remember that we weren’t supposed to be here and we are up against the defending champs who play a difficult brand of basketball that is FT heavy . We have done exceptionally well considering our age and lack of experience. As much we say it doesn’t matter it does and you can see from how Wemby approached the game and to Harper mishandling under pressure to castle rushing everything. We will learn and grow . We can still take this to game 7 but of course it will be difficult with how the refs are officiating. I would loved Wemby to have come out with force because u can see how much the team feeds off him . Onto game 6 . Congrats to the floppers and fuck the refs .

I think Wemby’s body is done for this playoffs. So far we get one great game and nonexistent the next.
I think he physically just can’t do it. Not a knock on him, that’s why you learn from these playoffs for next year on how to better prepare for a deep playoff run.

This why you don’t play a bunch of SFs at PF, we relied on him too much in the paint and he got worn down. We need size inside desperately.

Agreed - and there’s no plays for him to get open besides the double high screen PnR to the basket.
Mitch and co need to be more creative with getting him in position down low, especially against Alex Caruso.
I would say have him train with players that play bully ball. You can see Alex Caruso and other OKC players attack his mid section with their lower body on a drive and then hang in the air to get a shot off.

裁判的糟糕吹罚显然是一个不小的因素，光凭印象不仔细查都记得有五六个对马刺不利的错判。

不过马刺自己无谓的失误太多了，防守篮板也丢了很多。

同时在单节比赛bonus时送给对方很多轻松罚球得分——而在对方bonus且单节比赛剩余时间还较多时却没能很好的利用这一点去突破造罚球而在三分线外跳投。

文班的体力问题也很明显，今天三分球投篮都偏了很多。

整体不断积累经验吧。GSG!
