(Victor Wembanyama)
评分:A
(De’Aaron Fox)
(Stephon Castle)
评分:A-
(Devin Vassell)
(Julian Champagnie)
(Keldon Johnson)
(Dylan Harper)
评分:A-
(Luke Kornet)
(Harrison Barnes)
(Carter Bryant)
(Mitch Johnson)

Spurs vs. Bulls – Final Grades
Victor Wembanyama
From the opening moments of the game, it was clear that Wembanyama was in dominating form. He kept that high level of play throughout his 31 minutes and finished with 41 points, 16 rebounds, four assists and three blocks. Wembanyama was simply wonderful on both sides of the court. Offensively, he was efficient shooting-wise, made great passes and his decision-making was impeccable. Defensively, the Frenchman pounded the glass, defended the hoop and moved extremely well. All in all, it would have been difficult for Wembanyama to play much better.
Grade: A
De’Aaron Fox
With his teammates handling most of the steering, Fox was mostly just along for the ride against the Bulls. While he was 3-for-5 from two-point range, he was 0-for-3 from deep and 1-for-2 at the line. He also turned it over three times and lacked intensity on defense. To Fox’s credit, he had some slick passes on his way to six assists in only 23 minutes.
Grade: C+
Stephon Castle
In what was nearly another triple-double performance, Castle poured in 21 points, ten assists and eight rebounds in 35 minutes. He was reasonably efficient from the floor, highlighted by a 3-for-6 showing from deep. His playmaking was really good, despite his four turnovers. I also liked Castle’s effort on defense. The second-year guard is playing a very competitive, rugged, mean brand of basketball right now — and it’s a joy to behold.
Grade: A-
Devin Vassell
It wasn’t the prettiest game for Vassell. He got off to a slow start and finished 0-for-5 from two-point territory. However, there were silver linings to his affair. Vassell was 2-for-4 from deep, pulled down seven rebounds, dished out three assists and didn’t turn the ball over in 31 minutes. He’s doing a really good job right now of being a well-rounded player who doesn’t have to see the ball into the basket for him to continue to play hard.
Grade: B-
Julian Champagnie
Champagnie hit three three-pointers and had a powerful slam on his way to 13 points on only seven field goal attempts. He also totaled eight rebounds and three assists in 28 minutes, while playing above average defense and not turning the ball over. Like Vassell, Champagnie is playing hard no matter what and that is keeping him valuable game in and game out.
Grade: B+
Keldon Johnson
Johnson is making a strong final push for the 2025-26 Sixth Man of the Year award. In 26 minutes, he had 15 points on 5-for-11 shooting from the field, including 2-for-5 on threes and 3-for-4 on freebies. Johnson was strong going to the rim and exhibited sublime touch from all distances. He also played solid defense and limited his miscues.
Grade: B+
Dylan Harper
Harper had another outstanding outing. There were moments where he fumbled the ball, got the ball dislodged or was otherwise discombobulated — but the vast majority of the time the rookie was playing like a machine. He’s shooting the ball well from the perimeter (2-for-5 on threes) and he’s a monster attacking the rim. Add in defense, rebounding and playmaking and Harper is already a deadly weapon off the bench.
Grade: A-
Luke Kornet
Kornet played well in 19, he had ten points and five rebounds on 4-for-5 shooting from the floor and he hit both of his free throws. He was moving fine, which is important because he has been lumbering at times over the last few weeks. Let’s hope he continues to thaw as the playoffs approach.
Grade: B
Harrison Barnes
Barnes was mostly a disappointment. He had only 3 points in 17 minutes on five field goal attempts. He also had no defensive boards and no assists. Barnes also wasn’t playing much defense. He wasn’t outwardly hurting San Antonio’s cause too much but the Spurs need more from their vet.
Grade: D
Carter Bryant
Bryant played six minutes but there was little evidence he was on the court. He missed a three-pointer and played some good defense but he didn’t register any other stat on the scoresheet.
Grade: C
Mitch Johnson
It was another relatively easy win for Coach Mitch and gang. He’ll really start earning his paycheck in the coming games when the opponents begin to become more difficult. Let’s hope Coach Mitch has his players ready to roll and there isn’t a hangover effect from too many easy contests in a row.
