Coming off a tough loss versus the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Spurs took on the Portland Trail Blazers in Portland. The Spurs got off to a slow start by getting outscored 33-18 in the first. They trimmed their deficit to nine at halftime and slowly began to chip away in the third and fourth quarters. They cut the lead to four late in the game, but the Blazers were able to pull away. The Spurs lost 120-109. Both teams were eliminated from playoff contention due to the Sacramento Kings’ win over the Cavs.
Stephon Castle led the squad with 22 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and a steal. With the playoffs now out of the picture, Steph can only continue to solidify his ROTY case during this last week of games. He is one remarkable rookie!
