(Victor Wembanyama)
评分:A
(Devin Vassell)
(Chris Paul)
(Harrison Barnes)
(Stephon Castle)
评分:A-
(Keldon Johnson)
评分:A
(Jeremy Sochan)
(Julian Champagnie)
(Tre Jones)
评分:A-
(Mitch Johnson)

Grades: San Antonio Spurs vs. Milwaukee Bucks – Game #45
The San Antonio Spurs desperately needed a feel-good win and that’s exactly what they got on Friday night against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Spurs improved to 21-24 with the win, while the Bucks fell to 26-20.
The game was extremely tight for two quarters. San Antonio’s offense ignited in the third quarter, as the Spurs outscored the Bucks 45-30 in the period. In the fourth period, it was their defense that powered the Spurs.
When all was said and done, San Antonio had a 144-118 victory. They deserve to be happy with this win. They shot the ball well, they rebounded well and, perhaps most importantly, they turned the ball over only four times.
Stats: Spurs vs. Bucks
Spurs vs. Bucks – Final Grades
Victor Wembanyama
Wembanyama posted a loud 30 points in a spectacular performance against the Bucks. He set the tone early with a pair of emphatic blocks. Offensively, he took care of the ball while playing a physical brand of basketball that led to seven free throw attempts. Wembanyama also got his three-point stroke going, which made life even more difficult for Milwaukee. All in all, the Frenchman dominated the action on both ends when he was in the game.
Grade: A
Devin Vassell
Eh, Vassell didn’t do much to harm the team — which is a partial win. His shot-selection was a little ambitious but I didn’t hate it. Vassell didn’t shoot well, however he also didn’t turn the ball over and he authored a couple smart passes. Defensively, he was much more active than usual, particularly in the paint.
Grade: B
Chris Paul
Paul had a successful outing on Friday night. He shot well on his way to 12 points in 26 minutes. He passed the ball extremely well, which led directly to his team-high nine assists. Paul also deserves kudos for not turning the ball over. Additionally, he played with a toughness and an edge that seemingly rattled the Bucks.
Grade: B+
Harrison Barnes
Barnes had another productive night at the office. He shot well from all areas and his attacking of the rim was much more aggressive than usual. He ran the court well, made smart decisions with the ball and limited his mistakes. Barnes was also good on the boards and attentive on defense.
Grade: B+
Stephon Castle
The good: Castle hit half of his three-point attempts, which is always great to see out of the rookie. He got to the line a team-high ten times. He didn’t turn the ball over. Castle’s passing was stupendous at times. He rebounded and played defense with gusto. The bad: Castle was only 2-of-8 from two-point range, mostly due to misses right at the rim. He got hurried at times tonight but otherwise he was smooth.
Grade: A-
Keldon Johnson
On this night, Johnson was the most impactful player on the court for the good guys. Specifically, his 20 points in the first half made a huge difference. Without him, the Spurs fall in a hole early on. With him, the Spurs rode Johnson’s energy and toughness to success. He was great going to the rim, his three-point shooting was silky and he remained under control at all times. I also thought he was a force for good on defense.
Grade: A
Jeremy Sochan
Better. Last game, Sochan was held without a rebound. Versus the Bucks, he had seven boards in 22 minutes while playing really good defense. Offensively, Sochan didn’t have much success. He had a couple good passes and a couple solid drives — but that’s about it.
Grade: B-
Julian Champagnie
Champagnie did his job. He hit a pair of three-pointers, moved well without the ball and made a couple wise, well-timed passes. I also liked Champagnie’s rebounding and his defense.
Grade: B
Tre Jones
It’s great to see that Jones has taken another step recently. Tonight, he was running the show with precision while also being a threat to score the ball. He finished well, hit a three and always kept the pedal to the metal. Defensively, Jones was hard-nosed. Overall, he deserves credit for running the bench unit really well.
Grade: A-
Mitch Johnson
Good stuff from Johnson. He got Wembanyama the ball in advantageous situations. His rotation made a lot of sense and the team’s execution was great coming out of the locker room after halftime.
