Open Thread: Spurs Sports and Entertainment is taking applications for Human Performance X Equity Program
Program aims to empower diverse leaders
Per a Spurs press release:
Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E) announced that applications are open now for the second cohort of the Human Performance x Equity (HPxE) program, presented by Barcode. Potential fellows interested in joining the program can find more information and apply online now until Friday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m.
Building on the success of last year’s cohort, Spurs Sports & Entertainment expands the global reach for cohort number two.
Dr. Kara Allen, Chief People, Impact and Belonging Officer at SS&E, stated,
“After a successful pilot year with our inaugural cohort of next-generation human performance leaders, we are excited to welcome our second cohort. The HPxE program will continue to foster a unique interdisciplinary space where leaders can develop their skills, build community and push the boundaries of human performance. Our program invests in the future of human performance and the positive impact these leaders will make on their fields and the communities they represent.”
Human Performance X Equity strives to build leadership in the fields of sports, entertainment, arts, military, medicine and technology.
Program Details
- Applicants will be notified of their selection in early November.
- Program runs from December 2024 – April 2025.
- Sessions will take place both virtually and in-person in San Antonio.
- Fellows will be divided into small group learning cohorts, each with a dedicated mentor and HPxE program alumni.
