He gets the ball often and is expected to bail us out with little movement off ball cutting etc. he is not an efficient iso player.

I usually hate Gil with passion but he’s absolutely spot-on here. I never understood why Wemby needs to bring the ball down. The only advantage that he gets from doing that is getting fouled but more often he just got stripped.

Getting coached by Duncan should be the goal honestly. Wemby needs to drop the ego and just play how Duncan wants him to and THEN pick and choose what to keep.

It’s getting more and more obvious that Mitch Johnson is just a yes man to his superstars. Imagine going into his 4th year and he still lacks a lot of basketball fundamentals.
He relies too much on his instincts and god given genetics to make up for his lack of fundamentals and basketball iq.
I just hope they don’t waste Wembys years by trying to keep Mitch Johnson. The team have outgrown Mitch too fast and they can’t wait for him to develop to a good coach now that they have proven that they can contend for the title with just their talent alone.

I get it you want to placate your players but just letting them dictate everything is not going to win you everything. Imagine if we had Spo or Carlisle instead, we would have already hung the banner last Tuesday. I just do not see what Pop and the others saw in Mitch that it makes me question Pop’s judgment on this matter now.
