Jeremy Sochan’s time with the Spurs, as colorful and ever-changing as his hair, came to an end Wednesday when the team announced it had waived the 2023 first-round draft pick after failing to find a trade partner before the league’s deadline last week.
After a promising rookie season, Sochan never quite found his footing again. He fell in and out of the starting lineup and moved around the court, failing an experiment at point guard when the team was desperate for an answer there.
Despite sometimes struggling on the court, he remained a favorite among fans, his passion for the team often shining brighter than his fluorescent locks.
