It’s a simple pleasure, but I love these time lapse videos of when they set the stages at the Frost Bank Center. The ones involving the rodeo are always interesting in that they bring all that dirt in after getting the perimeter set.
The pieces all coming together, the collective mindset and teamwork that goes into putting a large puzzle together. I’ve worked on and off for years as a stage hand and I say that building and setting stages is something of its won art form. I enjoy supporting those who put on large scale events.
This one was the Spurs setting up the Fiesta Stage, which was unveiled last Wednesday when the Spurs hosted the Warriors.
There’s also something meditative about the process. I feel I could watch these in succession.
Today, the Spurs have a day game. It’d the first time I have an opportunity to head to see a love game since the Silver vs. Black Scrimmage last month.
