If things go well, the Oct. 4 scrimmage could mark the first chance San Antonio fans will have to see their hometown hero on the court in nearly nine months.
Fans who attend the open scrimmage will also be privy to food and drink specials, free parking and discounts on merchandise at the Frost Bank Center fan shop.
The Spurs are set to open their preseason slate Oct. 6 with an exhibition against the Guangzhou Loong Lions, a Chinese League club, at the Frost Bank Center. They open the regular season Oct. 22 at Dallas.
