Earlier this week, Spurs leadership made a trip to the Texas Hill Country to volunteer at one of the flood relief locations. R.C. Buford, head coach Mitch Johnson, and GM Brian Wright spent some time with Mercy Chefs. The Coyote also served victims of the flooding supplies.

“I was honored. This is our third time coming to the community and I think that resilience and sustainability is incredibly important to the people of Hunt and Ingram and Kerrville. What he saw the impact that its had on such a region of beautiful humans. It really hits your heart and to see what Mercy Chefs and the people that have come here to really be here for the long term is impressive to see all the people that are out, not only in the clean up but in the beginning ion the recovery Brian Wright and Mitch Johnson were here today. We were all…incredibly humbled by the devastation but by the way this community has come together.“
The area, still recovering from devastating July 4th rains, has brought Texans together on many levels. Recently, the Spurs, Rockets, and Mavericks released some Texas Strong shirts with proceeds going to the relief efforts.
