Notably, the post concluded with a picture of Wembanyama and Team USA star Kevin Durant embracing after last Saturday’s gold medal game. The Spurs’ new franchise cornerstone has long looked to Durant for inspiration, labelling the two-time NBA and four-time Olympic champion “one of my top very favorite players ever” last October.
