The one flaw in his game that was also shown in college, and in this clip, is offensively he likes to take shots that will get blocked in the nba, That lay up rather than dunk, I wonder if it will continue to work. Great rebounder though.

Yeah, he’s not a vertical threat. His best plays in college were bully ball post ups.
No disrespect to Reed but an nba team is not drawing up post plays for him.
Should focus on setting picks and crashing the glass like Adams, another burly non vertical threat

That would be awful. The Spurs are already struggling at shooting the ball. Taking Vassell out and putting Tarris in would be horrendous, offensively; floor spacing would be atrocious. And defensively other teams would just take off running after the rebound and leave Wemby and Tarris lagging behind. Even in the half court it would be bad, defensively. If Wemby isn’t in the paint, his best attribute is null and void. And If Tarris has to guard a stretch 4, good luck with that. The Spurs are having a tough time guarding the 3-point line with 4 guards. Imagine a lumbering center trying to switch constantly on the wing… barbeque chicken.
