Yea Castle and Harper have a real shot at making all-nba by their 4th season so in that scenario them taking that equivelant paycut would be good nice but still eat a lot of our cap

You’re getting downvoted, but while I love what Wemby did, it is pretty amazing to me how much Fox/Klutch made out like bandits here. The realities of the CBA were pretty clear even last year. Yet somehow Fox/Klutch persuaded the Spurs that there was just no way Fox would commit to joining an up-and-coming team unless he got the full 30% max. And now Wemby feels like he should take $51 million less, because a year ago Fox got $51 million too much? Pretty wild. Fox should be paying for Wemby’s dinners the rest of his career lmao

In Fox’s “defence”, this was the LAST major payday of his basketball career. A smaller guard that relies on his athleticism should be trying to maximize his earnings in his 20’s. Doubt he plays out his contract with us, but from a personal/career perspective, pushing for the negotiated max is understandable.
