Yeah this is a massive loss. People don’t really realize how impactful Sean has been to the team. Dude completely overhauled our defense into a championship level even outside of Wemby. There’s a reason guys like Devin and Julian are playing the best defense of their careers. We owe a large chunk of the season success to him. He’s been a great resource and help for Mitch Johnson too I’m sure.
Hoping the mentality and schemes stick with our players even after he’s departed & that they can apply what they learned this year going fwd.

To me it seems like more of a mentality thing than an X’s and O’s thing. Which is not to say Sean does not know his X’s and O’s. He clearly does. But I think his biggest contribution to the D was bringing in a little swagger and confidence and willingness to be physical. Which was sorely needed. Spurs were an apparition of their former selves. Literally stopping nothing. Sean solved that.
