"So for him to buy into the role that was in front of him, for him for him to do what was asked and be held accountable and learn what it took and what we needed to win games and be a part of it while probably suppressing some of his individual capabilities, it is hard to deal with for a 19, 20 year old.

“And so for him to be able to do that and grow as a winning team player and then have his individual talent pop as well, it’s hard to do in this league at any time but as a rookie in the playoffs it’s ridiculous.”

Harper is the 14th player overall in franchise history to be named to an All-Rookie team and the third consecutive Spur to receive All-Rookie First Team recognition after Wembanyama in 2024 and Castle in 2025. Wembanyama was also the 2024 NBA Rookie of the Year.
