Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is doubtful for Wednesday’s game with Portland due to the bruised left rib he suffered in Monday night’s win over Philadelphia, but the team is “confident” he will play in “at least” one of the remaining three games to qualify for regular season awards.
The Spurs (60-19) also list standout guard Stephon Castle as doubtful due to right knee soreness.
The Spurs ruled Wembanyama out for the second half Monday night after he played 16 minutes against the Sixers.
