(De’Aaron Fox)
评分:A
(Stephon Castle)
(Devin Vassell)
(Julian Champagnie)
(Luke Kornet)
(Keldon Johnson)
(Dylan Harper)
评分:A
(Harrison Barnes)
(Carter Bryant)
(Mitch Johnson)

Grades: San Antonio Spurs at Los Angeles Clippers – Game #77
With Victor Wembanyama resting on the second night of a back-to-back, the San Antonio Spurs were still able to cruise by the Los Angeles Clippers by a final score of 118-99. The Spurs, who captured their 11th straight victory, dominated the first half before struggling in the third quarter. In the fourth, San Antonio rediscovered their mojo to cap another impressive road victory.
Stats: Spurs at Clippers

Spurs at Clippers – Final Grades
De’Aaron Fox
Fox stepped up in the absence of Wembanyama to guide the Spurs to the win. His leadership was palpable and he came out of the gates with purpose. Offensively, his scoring going to the rim was elite and his passing was better than usual. Defensively, Fox was locked in, disruptive and crashed the glass. All in all, this was a very mature outing for San Antonio’s star point guard and he showed why he’s such a huge part of this team.
Grade: A
Stephon Castle
The good: Castle had 20 points and shot 3-for-5 on three-pointers. He’s becoming a legitimate three-point threat. His passing and defense were also high-quality attributes. He scored going to the rim at a reasonably good level. The bad: Castle turned the ball over five times, committed four fouls and only shot one free throw.
Grade: B+
Devin Vassell
Vassell bounced back from some recent struggles to score 14 points in 29 minutes. He was 3-for-8 from downtown and corralled a team-high ten boards. His shot-selection was good, he didn’t turn the ball over and he played reasonably sound defense.
Grade: B+
Julian Champagnie
Champagnie was only 1-for-6 from three-point territory but he made up for his lack of marksmanship in other areas. He was 4-for-7 from two-point range, pulled down eight rebounds and handed out four assists. His all-around game continues to improve and Champagnie is playing defense regardless of how other areas of his game are going.
Grade: B
Luke Kornet
Starting in place of Wembanyama, Kornet was solid. His screen setting and passing stood out offensively, as evidenced by his five assists. He also rebounded well, guarded the interior well and looked spryer than normal. Kornet looked like a starting caliber player — and that in itself was a win.
Grade: B
Keldon Johnson
There’s not much to complain about regarding Johnson’s play. He scored 13 points in 27 minutes and limited his miscues. He rebounded, hit a three and made the right passes. He didn’t get to the line but that wasn’t due to a lack of effort. Johnson’s enthusiasm and energy were characteristics the bench unit needed to thrive — and he delivered in those areas.
Grade: B
Dylan Harper
Harper is showing flashes of being scary good. Against the Clippers, the rookie scored 19 points in 25 minutes while hitting 8-of-12 shots from the floor. He hit a pair of three-pointers, including a halfcourt heave. His passing was brilliant, he was attentive defensively and his poise was impressive. Harper simply looks like a basketball natural.
Grade: A
Harrison Barnes
Barnes only had three points in 21 minutes. He only shot twice and didn’t pull down a rebound or play notable defense. Barnes wasn’t making many overt mistakes but this decaffeinated brand of basketball isn’t doing his teammates any favors.
Grade: C-
Carter Bryant
Bryant had a tip-in … and that was about the extent of his contributions in his ten minutes of playing time. He played pretty good defense and his focus was clearly team-oriented but the Spurs could use more tangible production from their rookie forward.
Grade: C
Mitch Johnson
The third quarter was forgettable but other Coach Mitch put on another masterclass. He has his team playing at a high level, even when Wembanyama doesn’t play. The rotation made sense and the gameplan, particularly defensively, was very smart.
Grade: B+
