When Spurs rookie Dylan Harper sank a game-winning jumper over his older brother Ron at the Rising Stars Challenge last month in Los Angeles, both knew it was a moment neither would ever forget.
Mostly because the younger Harper will not let them.
“That’s always going to be framed somewhere in my house,” Dylan Harper said. “He’s always going to see it, no matter what. Someone is always going to bring it up to him. From a bragging rights perspective, it feels good.”
The Harper brothers are slated to meet again Tuesday when the Celtics come to town. The elder Harper is on a two-way deal with Boston.
At age 20, Dylan Harper is five years younger than his older sibling – one reason his game-winner on All-Star weekend felt so special.
“He’s probably made that play on me a thousand times,” Dylan Harper said. “But I got him good that time.”
