NEW YORK — Mason Plumlee is set to stick around San Antonio.
The Spurs have re-signed the veteran center for the remainder of the season, the team announced Friday.
Plumlee was initially signed to a 10-day contract on Feb. 17. That deal expired without him playing a minute.
The 35-year-old journeyman spent all of his first 10 days with the Spurs on the inactive list while completing his recovery from the groin surgery he underwent in December while with Charlotte.
A 13-year veteran, the 7-foot Plumlee is expected to provide experienced depth to the Spurs’ frontcourt rotation.
