San Antonio Spurs forward Victor Wembanyama (1) beats on a large drum as the crowd claps in unison following the Spurs’ 130-110 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025.

Victor Wembanyama is turning Spurs wins into shared moments with the fans – especially with a post-win celebration that was weeks in the making.

After San Antonio’s 130-110 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, Wembanyama stayed on the court to debut a new victory celebration with more than 19,000 fans at the Frost Bank Center.

The Spurs’ French star, surrounded by his teammates, led fans in unison, banging on a drum at center court as the arena clapped together. The celebration was created in collaboration with the Spurs Jackals, a fan-run initiative founded by Wembanyama to build the largest home-court advantage in the NBA for the Alamo City.

A video posted to the Spurs Jackals X account shows that Wembanyama and the Jackals had been working on the celebration back in November, practicing the rhythm of the claps with fans. The moment finally came to life after Tuesday’s win over the defending champions.

This new tradition highlights Wembanyama’s growing leadership and involvement with the Spurs’ fan base as the team continues to build on the momentum they built early in the season.

If Tuesday’s reaction is any indication, the celebration could quickly become a staple following Spurs home wins and another boost to the atmosphere inside the Frost Bank Center.
