LAS VEGAS - The Spurs players on standard contracts collected $212,373 for beating Oklahoma City in the NBA Cup semifinals and will pocket an additional $308,560 if they beat the New York Knicks in Tuesday’s championship game – not that any of that matters to Victor Wembanyama.
The Spurs star was asked on the eve of the game against the Thunder if money was a motivating factor for him. His answer might have shocked some.
