Yesterday the Spurs and Frost held their annual “Reality Fair,” a full day of financial education programming for local high school juniors and seniors. This program gives students a chance to spend the as either a Frost banker or Spurs employee. Students learn budgeting skills such as mortgages and utilities.
Spurs guard Jordan McLaughlin joined the students to talk and shoot hoops. He spoke spoke about his approach to finances, goals and planning for the future.
Even on their days off, Spurs players are making a difference in the community.
And the Spurs offering this financial literacy program is an effective way to teach young people how to consider their future.
