The start of the 2025-26 regular season is just over a week away, and in the midst of an impressive 3-0 start to the preseason, the Spurs have released their latest Statement Edition Uniforms, and they should look new yet somewhat familiar.

The San Antonio Spurs today unveiled a new Statement Edition uniform ahead of their upcoming season, presenting a familiar yet evolved design concept in this new iteration. This marks the team’s first update to the Statement Edition uniform since the 2022-23 season and will serve as the Core alternate for the next three seasons. The uniforms and other select items are available now at the official Spurs Fan Shop at Frost Bank Center, at the fan shop in the Victory Capital Performance Center and online at SpursFanShop.com.
2025 NBA Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle serves as the face of this launch, representing the bright future of this Spurs team as tradition evolves to embody the next chapter. Designed by Nike, this Statement Edition uniform introduces a host of new design elements that pay homage to the city of San Antonio and past jersey elements. The new jersey takes cues from the Spurs current Association and Icon uniforms, while integrating a new “Go Spurs Go” wordmark above the anthem tag, which will soon become standard for all Spurs Core uniforms starting with the 2027-28 season. The rowel symbol is seamlessly blended into the side panels of the shorts, integrating a key icon of the Spurs brand in a sleek and minimalist fashion. Fans will also see new partner Ledger represented on the jersey patch in their first season with the team, spotlighting a partnership that embodies the bright future and great expectations that lie ahead for this organization.
This marks the first Core uniform since 1989 to feature the “San Antonio” wordmark in place of the “Spurs,” leaning into the team’s reverence and love for their home city. The Spurs will debut these uniforms at their first Emirates Cup game on Friday, Nov. 7, hosting the Houston Rockets, and will go on to wear them for an additional 18 games this season.
The Spurs have done version of gray uniforms in the past, from their arguably failed attempt at metallic silver in the mid 2000’s, to the gray alternates that became a staple of the mid 2010’s during their most recent contending days. These are pretty nice, with the subtle color and black trim, as well as some other bonus features listed above. They replace the black “SATX” uniforms with the Mexican blanket design on the side (which I liked but seemed oddly unpopular from what I could tell).
