Keldon Johnson is kicking off the season with a rejuvenated excitement. Already a high-energy player who wore his heart on his sleeve, Johnson has taken on more of a leadership role with the team. He emceed the karaoke performances for the Spurs scrimmage. He can be seen inspiring the team in huddles. And he’s spent the preseason as a scoring machine, nailing 76% in the first two games.
Reunited with his #3 jersey appears to put Johnson into the right head space. As the longest tenured member of the team, he is one of the leaders, setting the tone for rookies and veterans alike.
Today, Keldon turns twenty-six-years-old. He enters his seventh season. Already an impressive career, Keldon shined during the pandemic, separating himself from the pack.
