The Spurs guard is making his presence known on and off the court
Stephon Castle nabbed the 2024 NBA Rookie of the Year honors earlier this summer. He’s recently been immortalized with a mural.

The mural was created by JC Texas Art and Mikey Sanchez and is located at Amols’ Fiesta, 227 Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio.
Castle made an appearance which was photographed and posted on Spurs social media.
Castle followed Victor Wembanyama, the unanimous 2023 Rookie of the Year, as thew first teammates to acquire back-to-back ROTY awards since Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns to win in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
As the NCAA champion moves into his second season, he could be taking on an even bigger role. Chris Paul is not returning to the Spurs and been replaced with incoming rookie Dylan Harper, leaving more opportunity for Castle.
His role with Spurs may not be completely defined, but their faith in him has been established. Castle was the eye of many NBA teams looking to trade this off season. The Spurs respectfully took calls, but have refused to part with the twenty-year-old guard.
