(Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation)

Here’s what to know about the renovations, where they’ll take place and when they’ll be complete.
The Frost Bank Center, otherwise known as the San Antonio Spurs’ official venue, is set to undergo a $2 million remodel this summerwith plans aimed at improving the VIP guest experience. Here’s what to know about the renovations, where they’ll take place and when they’ll be complete.
Construction on the privately funded project is scheduled to begin July 1, with efforts focused on the 4,000-square-foot, private space called the Superbox, which offers guests all-inclusive food and beverages.
According to a Friday filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, renovations to the club space will include a demolition to make way for “new partitions, new millwork, new finishes, minor plumbing rework, new lighting,” as well as reworked electrical wiring to accommodate a new layout for equipment.
Work on the project will be spearheaded by Ohio-based design firm HSB Architects + Engineers, a company that’s completed several private projects on bars, restaurants, offices, medical centers and more.
The firm has previously done work on the Spurs’ Terrace Club, in collaboration with Richardson Design and Aramark to “refresh the fan experience at the Terrace Club in the San Antonio Spurs arena.”
The project was completed in 2023, with work focused on the club’s food service areas and ledge seating. Now, the firm will be returning to the Frost Bank Center to focus on improving other aspects of the venue’s VIP amenities.
Construction on the project is set to be complete in a little over two months, with an Aug. 29 finishing date.
