The Spurs’ next prized rookie will get his start in San Francisco.
The club has been confirmed as one of four teams to participate in this year’s California Classic, a summer league held July 5-8 at the Chase Center.
The Golden State Warriors will host the event, which will also include squads representing the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers. The California Classic precedes the larger Las Vegas Summer League, held later in the month.
The Spurs own the No. 2 and No. 14 pick in the first round of the June draft. Those players can typically be expected to make their debut at Summer League.
This marks the Spurs’ third consecutive appearance at the California Classic, which in years past has split a venue with the Golden1 Center in Sacramento. This year’s event will be held exclusively in San Francisco for the first time.
