News 4 San Antonio’s Don Harris shared a personal take in regard to Gregg Popovich’s presence at Mitch Johnson’s head coach presser on his Extra Point segment during the news.
This was released just after the press conference, it is not new. But I wasn’t sure if many Pounders had seen it, so I added it to the Open Thread list to share.
Harris refers to the press conference as “beautiful,” explaining that the gesture, the shares, and the moment all represent the “Spurs Way.”
Most impressive discovery from the retirement announcement was that Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili have been by Pop’s side throughout his recovery. It should surprise no one, but still…you have to respect the love and admiration these superstars have for the only NBA coach they ever had.
