A week-long overnight camp for mind, body, and spirit
This summer your child can participate in a week-long basketball camp that intertwines basketball, biblical teachings, and outdoor adventure.
The Rock was started by the Sanders brothers — Thomas, Jesse, and John Caleb — all of whom were standout Division 1 players that went on to play professionally overseas.
“Four us, our faith in Jesus always came first,” said Thomas. “The Gospel can be lived out in so many ways. It’s sharing truths and teaching the next generation of ball players that your actions can bring God glory on and off the court.”
The Rock challenges their campers to look beyond basketball and carry the skills they develop on the court into every facet of their lives.
A unique one-to-one individual player skill development and scripture afford young athletes personal attention to meet their goals and grow in the process.
Over the week, there are daily skill sessions, individual development, afternoon competitions, and film breakdowns. But the day is infused with time to relax, worship, and enjoy the area.
Nestled in the heart of the Hill Country, Deer Creek offers breathtaking views, the beautiful Medina River, and an expansive property with swimming pool, zip lines, full cafeteria, and sleeping for up to 300 campers.
Now in their third year, The Rock has developed a spiritually-based athletic program that includes nutrition, rest and recovery, weight training, with a focus mind, body, and spirit.
There first camp is scheduled May 26-20 for young men ages 14-18. A second camp offering includes boys 10-14 and girls 10-18 the week of June 1-5.
