It’s not long before a horde of fans, celebrities and other NBA stars descend upon the court. “We’re just trying to capture that energy of the world coming together for the tip-off of the NBA season," director Mike Warzin said in a behind-the-scenes look at the ad’s taping.
As his presence in this new commercial shows, Wembanyama is quickly becoming one of the league’s most marketable superstars. The Frenchman has arguably more global appeal than any of the NBA’s other up-and-comers, especially after the world watched him take France on a wild ride to the gold-medal game at the Paris Olympics culminating with an unforgettable showdown against Team USA.
