Two card collectors went crazy on camera after discovering a one-of-a-kind autographed card of San Antonio Spur Victor Wembanyama.
In a video shared on social media by Topps, a trading card and collectible company, the collectors filmed themselves opening packsof the brand’s new Chrome Basketball cards.From a stack of cards whose pack they’d opened before the clip starts, the male collector happens upon a one-of-one, signed Wembanyama rookie card.
“Wembanyama!” the male collector shouts excitedly, as the female collector begins screaming and ringing a bell in celebration.
The video garnered 138,000 views on X, but other card collectors were not thrilled with the big find. Fans pointed out that Topps has released quite a few different one-of-a-kind Wembanyama designs.
“It’s not special when everyone has one,” one X user wrote.
Maybe they’re just jealous of the payout that could come from finding one. Last month, poker player and card collector Jared Bleznick announced he is offering $1 million for a Topps one-of-one Superfractor rookie card.
