After the Spurs signed Chris Paul in free agency and acquired Harrison Barnes via trade without giving up any players in return, they have now made an unsurprising move: renouncing the rights to players taking up cap space. Even though Barlow and Osman are currently unrestricted free agents, the Spurs still owned their bird rights. Meanwhile, Mamu was a restricted free agent, and David Duke Jr. was on a two-way contract. Bassey was on a non-guaranteed contract.
