The Spurs selected North Carolina forward Harrison Ingram with the 48th overall pick in the second round of 2024 NBA draft on Thursday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
A 21-year-old Dallas native, Ingram began his college career at Stanford (2021-23) before transferring to UNC for his final season. The 6-foot-5, 233-pound forward started 36 games for the Tar Heels and averaged 12.2 points on 43% shooting, 8.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.8 3-pointers and 1.4 steals.
Ingram helped UNC clinch the ACC regular-season title and was selected to the All-ACC third team. He went on to average 12.7 points, seven boards, two assists and 1.3 steals in the NCAA tournament, where UNC fell to Alabama 89-87 in the Sweet Sixteen.
He was also previously named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year after averaging 10.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and three assists in 2021-22.
The Ingram selection marks the end of the Spurs’ selections in this year’s draft – unless they orchestrate another deal after trading their eighth overall pick to Minnesota and 35th overall to Indiana.
