Positive Momentum
First of all, let me say thank you to all of you who helped vote me into another All-Star Game. It may sound like a broken record, but I really do mean it when I say that it is a very special honor to be chosen by so many of you to represent the Spurs during the game. I am especially looking forward to having Pop and the rest of the coaching staff there. I think we’ll have a great deal of fun this year in Denver.
If there is one thing I can say as we head into the All-Star break, it’s that I am pleased with the great deal of momentum we have right now. In previous years, we haven’t had the type of momentum we’re showing right now until later in the season. With the first half of the season behind us, I can honestly say that I am excited about the type of season we’re having so far. Manu and Tony have really stepped up and that has certainly changed our tempo on the floor. These guys抯 speed makes our team move at a quicker pace, and makes our team even more exciting to watch. We are all hoping the positive momentum will carry through beyond the break and that we’ll continue to get better as a team, during the second half of the season. There are always things we try to improve on, especially this time of year.
I want to take some time here to thank so many of you who continually support my Foundation and our charitable projects, especially those who helped make our 6th Annual Charity Bowl-A- Thon which was held on January 16, 2005 such a success. Proceeds from the 6th Annual Tim Duncan Bowling For Dollar$ Charity Bowl-A-Thon along with funds from the Tim Duncan Foundation will benefit the Cancer Therapy and Research Center in San Antonio, one of the country抯 premier facilities for cancer treatment and services, to provide breast and prostate cancer screening mammograms and PSAs along with diagnostic follow-up care and treatment including needle biopsies, medications, chemotherapy, and surgical treatments as well as risk reduction and genetic counseling for at least 1,000 underserved women and men in and around Bexar County. I have had so many friends and family members that have been affected by breast and prostate cancer that these events are very dear and important to me. But we couldn’t do them with out you and your help, so thank you again.

我特地来感谢大家，谢谢你们一直支持我的基金会和慈善计划，尤其是那些在1月16日举办的第6届Tim Duncan保龄球慈善会中提供了支持的人，那次慈善会很成功。慈善会募得的款项，将和Tim Duncan基金会的资金汇集到一起，用来资助圣安东尼奥的癌症治疗与研究中心。这家机构提供先进的癌症治疗服务，包括乳腺癌、前列腺癌的X光扫描分析，之后的诊断、治疗和养护，例如穿刺、组织切片分析、化学治疗、外科手术等等。之外还有风险降低和遗传方面的咨询。在Brxar一带至少有1000个状况不佳的人得到了帮助。我有很多亲人朋友罹患乳腺癌、前列腺癌，所以这些事对我来说很重要，我很关心。但是，如果没有你们，没有你们的帮助的话，这一切都是不可能的。再次感谢大家。
