Minnesota Timberwolves guard Ayo Dosunmu gestures after hitting a 3-point basket against the Denver Nuggets in the first half in Game 5 of a first-round NBA playoffs basketball series Monday, April 27, 2026, in Denver.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have added more firepower to their lineup in advance of Wednesday night’s clash with the Spurs in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals.

The Timberwolves announced after shootaround that shooting guard Ayo Dosunmu has been upgraded from questionable to available as the No. 6 seed seeks to go up 2-0 after its 104-102 win over the No. 2 seed in Game 1.

Dosunmu returns to action after sitting out Game 6 against Denver last Thursday and also Monday night’s game with an injured right calf. In his last three outings against the Nuggets, the fifth-year pro scored 18, 43 and 25 points, respectively, after averaging 14.4 points over 24 games in the regular season for Minnesota while shooting 41.4% from 3-point range on 3.6 attempts per game.

The Timberwolves acquired Dosunmu in a four-player trade with Chicago in February.

Dosunmu, 26, was enjoying a career year for the Bulls, averaging 15.0 points on 51% shooting from the field and 45% from distance.

Minnesota continues to list star guard Anthony Edwards as questionable for Wednesday due to his left knee injury, but he didn’t report any setbacks after scoring 18 points off the bench in Game 1.

The Spurs, meanwhile, continue to list rookie forward Carter Bryant as questionable with a right foot sprain.
