Here’s an Eastern Conference scout on the San Antonio Spurs pick of point guard George Hill of IUPUI: “This kid can play every fact of the game. He has long arms, quick and is really, really a terrific scorer. He probably rebounds the point guard position better than any point guard in the country. He’s a legit player. He could’ve started for anyone in America.”
The Spurs also had been high on French forward Nicolas Batum, who was drafted by Houston (for Portland) one spot earlier.
